On December 21^st the much anticipated movie Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox story will debut in movie theaters across the land. However, fans waiting for a chance to see John C Reilly, star from Tenacious D and Talladega Nights, haven’t had to wait till the movie’s release.

All this month Dewey Cox has come alive performing concerts across the country in the “Cox Across America Tour”. Starting in Cleveland at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and spreading to seven lucky cities, the tour has been free to fan club members and radio show contest winners.

Free concerts are not the only promotion that the Dewey Cox team has put together. Playphone has a deal to release free ringtones and wallpapers from the movie, as well as a swag box shaped like an amplifier and containing a pair of autographed underwear and a calendar of one nude Dewey Cox decorating a Christmas tree.

And just in the last few days the studio didn’t something unexpected, they released a clip of the movie that shows the entire first 10 minutes of the movie.
