Unless you’ve been living under a rock these past few days, by now you’ve probably heard that the new 3G iPhone is on its way. Offering a slimmer look, faster download speeds and full GPS support, plus lots of other cool apps on the horizon, the new 3G iPhone is once again exclusive to AT&T. This time however, the company is footing some of the bill in order to bring it in at a lower price.
The 8GB version of the iPhone comes in at $199.00 with a two-year plan sign-up, while a 16GB model will cost you $299.00. That’s quite a bit cheaper than the original iPhone (originally launched at $599.00), but to make up for this, the minimum data plan from AT&T has been set at $39.99 ($10.00 more than the original.) In the long run, it actually turns out to be $60.00 more expensive than the original for the entire two-year time period, but with all the new goodies, it’s probably worth it.
The new 3G iPhone hits shelves (Apple Retail Stores and AT&T Stores) on July 11th.
The 2008 BET AWARDS are set to go off on June 24th with comedian D.L. Hughley as this year’s host. The nominees for this year’s show include Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Keisha Cole, Alicia Keys and Rihanna for Best Female R&B Artist and Raheem DeVaugh, J. Holiday, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz and Chris Brown for Best Male R&B Aritst. Other Nominees rounding out the categories include Missy Elliot, Trina, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Snoop, Kanye West, Flo Rida, and Soulja Boy.
That’s all good but what you really want to know is who will be throwing down live and here they’ve gone all out to make it big. Performing live are Lil Wayne, Usher, Nelly, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Rihanna, Ne-Yo and Marvin Sapp. Now THAT’S a line-up!
