OK, so though Janet and Island Def Jam will publicly deny that her new album “Discipline” is the comeback album part duex. As far as her fans are concerned this is in fact Janet Jackson’s second comeback attempt.
The pressure for this project to be a success is incredibly high as one of the most top selling female artists of our time is eagerly attempting to secure her position at the top of the billboard charts. Her first single, “Feedback”, hit radio almost 3 weeks ago and though the kidz are poppin their hips in the clubs to the beat, its not getting much radio airplay. According to Billboard.com, Feedback is currently resting at number 57 on the Top 100. It only peaked at # 51. Many blogs are claiming that Ciara may have thrown a lifeline to the struggling star, which I find to be a crazy notion in itself, on the remix version of “Feedback”. But to no avail the princess of crunk & B cant even seem make the fans interested. So what does the artist and label, which claim to not feel any pressure for this album to be a success, do? They immediately drop two more singles in hopes that one of them will stick. Take a listen to two of the songs that “mysteriously leaked” below:

While both tracks are truly hot, I can’t help but worry that this album might not be the “comeback” everyone is hoping it to be. Or am I just hating? And don’t even get me started on that damn video.
