If i’m not mistaken, and I could be totally wrong, Bolt is the first CG animated film by Disney that was not created by Pixar, post buyout.  Considering the string of hits Pixar has been part of, from Toy Story to Wall-E, you’d  think Disney wouldn’t dare to set foot outside of that collaboration to ensure a hit.  As things go however, it turns out they probably made the right call since it gives Pixar time to concentrate on their next hit, while families still get to enjoy another well-done movie from Disney with little competition.  Positive reviews are already hitting the net, and all it takes now is for movie-starved families to hit the theaters.

For super-dog Bolt, every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue - at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the canine star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet - a cross-country journey through the real world. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions - a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens and TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino - Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.
