This week’s Billboard Hot 100 listing sees T.I. and Beyonce battling out for the top spot with each of them splitting the first four spots on the list. Only Katy Perry acts as the lone other entrant in the top five. Here’s how the top ten stacks up this week based on Billboard’s rankings:

If i’m not mistaken, and I could be totally wrong, Bolt is the first CG animated film by Disney that was not created by Pixar, post buyout. Considering the string of hits Pixar has been part of, from Toy Story to Wall-E, you’d think Disney wouldn’t dare to set foot outside of that collaboration to ensure a hit. As things go however, it turns out they probably made the right call since it gives Pixar time to concentrate on their next hit, while families still get to enjoy another well-done movie from Disney with little competition. Positive reviews are already hitting the net, and all it takes now is for movie-starved families to hit the theaters.
For super-dog Bolt, every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue - at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the canine star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet - a cross-country journey through the real world. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions - a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens and TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino - Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.
Be a hero and check out these cool mobile phone wallpapers from the Bolt movie.

No, i’m not talking about a sudden shift in the political ideology of the world’s largest nation… i’m talking about a music album 17 years in the making!
Chinese Democracy is the title of the new Guns N’ Roses album that many thought would never see the light of day, in fact, most people thought it was just a myth. After a tumultuous start that saw musicians in and out of the line-up, not to mention skyrocketing production costs of at least 13 million dollars, the album is finally dropping this coming Tuesday November 23 exclusively at Best Buy stores. But was it really worth the wait and effort?
Like most people who know Guns N’ Roses, they either love them or hate them, and that seems to be the case in general for the album from the public’s eye but few reviews have sprung up and the reception so far, is lukewarm.
According to Billboard - “there’s certainly a ton of musical food for thought here, requiring several listens before the nuances are revealed. Worth the wait? Maybe. Worth a few hours of your time? Definitely.”
And Entertainment Weekly - “too often quantity gets in the way of quality: No rock cliché from the last decade goes unrepresented (hip-hop loops, nü-metal skronk), and did ”Madagascar” really need a horn section and Martin Luther King Jr. samples?”
But while you’re making up your mind to decide whether you’re going to part with your cash for the album, or search for more “creative” ways of obtaining the music, check out GnR in classic form:

The re-imagining of Mi6 super spy James Bond continues with Quantum of Solace, a direct sequel to Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig, as if you didn’t already know. A few mixed reviews are already coming in on the movie, with the biggest complaint that this Bond is too gritty and violent for what most would consider “Classic” Bond, but that’s not going to stop me or anyone else from sitting down at their favorite theater, grabbing a handful of popcorn, and enjoying a cool action flick. I mean, isn’t THAT the type of action we crave for these days? Forget the haters and go catch the movie.
If you’re looking for anything Bond to spruce up your handset…check out all of the cool stuff PlayPhone has to offer… just look at what a quick James Bond search turned out:
One fun item of note, Time.com recently posted the best and worst Bond songs of all time…check them out and let us know if you agree though I already see a glaring omission… the A View to a Kill theme from Duran Duran as one of the best.
THE WORST
All Time High, Rita Coolidge From the dreadful Octopussy, this love ballad presses all the wrong buttons. A perfect encapsulation of all the was wrong with the late Roger Moore era.
You Know My Name, Chris Cornell
You Know My Name? Most people can’t even name the movie. This dull as dust rock tune from Casino Royale barely registered.
Thunderball, Tom Jones
Read the title, read the name of the person singing it — then multiply your worst case scenario x10.
Tomorrow Never Dies, Sheryl Crow
Crow beat out more than a dozen other submitted songs with her overly-orchestrated ballad. k.d. Lang’s performance of Surrender, which played over the end credits, was far superior.
Another Way to Die, Jack White and Alicia Keys One problem is that White and Keys have no audible chemistry. Another is that their song has no chorus. But mostly it’s that lo-fi guitar fuzz suits Bond about as well as a rented tux. (Read Richard Corliss’ Quantum of Solace Review)
THE BEST
Nobody Does it Better, Carly Simon
Carole Bayer Sager’s words are legitimately sexy while the music by Marvin Hamlisch uses every cliché in the composer’s arsenal to build to a syrupy but irresistible coda.
We Have All The Time in the World, Louis Armstrong
The delicate ballad from Her Majesty’s Secret Service answers the question: what would it sound like of Louis Armstrong met Burt Bacharach? It sounds good.
For Your Eyes Only, Sheena Easton
A truly horrible song by any measure — except the Bond theme measure. Easton crams in the lyrical double-entendres just in case we forget we’re at the peak of the Roger Moore-era and never misses an opportunity to over-emote. To hear Easton sing it, James Bond isn’t just keeping the world safe from baddies, he’s keeping our hearts safe, too.
Goldeneye, Tina Turner Composed by Bono and the Edge and sung by Tina Turner, who gets into the same vocal space as Shirley Bassey; she’s a little camp, but not so camp that you can’t enjoy the song as light entertainment.
Goldfinger, Shirley Bassey
Less a song than an alphorn to herd people into movie theaters, Bassey walks the line between seduction and camp with the same dexterity as Sean Connery.
Last night Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood take to the stage in Nashville to host the annual Country Music Awards. Not only did the two of them co-host, but they both went home with Male and Female Vocalist of the Year respectively. It was a historic night for George Strait who surpassed the records for CMA awards picking up Single of the Year and Album of the Year.
Among the others that took home hardware were Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney, Vocal Group of the Year Rascal Flatts , and Vocal Duo of the Year Sugarland. The night was highlighted with performances by Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert, former American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler, a duet by Paisley and Keith Urban, and Reba McEntire.

Now in its ninth year, the Latin Grammys, alongside the Country Music Awards, this week kick off awards season for the music industry. Taking place at the Toyota Center in Houston on Nov. 13, it plans to highlight the best Spanish and Portugese-speaking musical acts of the year.
High on the nominee list is Juanes, the colombian-born rocker who has quickly skyrocketed to the top of the charts since his debut in 2000. With number one hits such as”La Camisa Negra” and “Volverte a Ver” under his belt, it only makes sense that he’s got a good shot at winning a few of the categories he’s nominated in, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
Hot on his heels of nominees though is Cafe Tacvba who are also nominated in those three categories and will be performing at the awards show. Other noted performers include Banda El Recodo and Los Tigres del Norte.

According to a number of music, entertainment and video game sources all over the net, the big news is that a partnership has been signed between the Beatle’s Apple Corps. Ltd, MTV Games, and Harmonix (makers of Rock Band) to create a new standalone video game using the Fab Four’s music catalog.
This just about marks the first time EVER that music from the greatest band of all time will be used in a video game.
Since this will be a standalone title, there’s no information yet as to how it will play out, but considering it’s being created by the makers of Rock Band, there should be plenty of interesting instruments to keep in mind. Can you say harmonica or sitar?
The game won’t be released until the Holiday season of 2009, but that can’t keep me from hammering out my own wishlist of songs that hoepfully will be included:
After much anticipation for the reunion concert with the day finally came! Walking into the arena we saw a plethora of signs made with glitter and puff paint they read, “I still LOVE you JOEY” or “Donnie, I’m legal NOW!!” and many more! The average of the show was around 30, thus making them 15 while NKOTB were in their prime! Appropriately enough the merchandise stand sold onesies, since 1 in 5 attending were visible pregnant.
Just because some time had passed didn’t mean that the crowd couldn’t scream and cheer as if they were kids again! After the opening acts of Lady Gaga and Natasha Bedingfield, NKOTB hit the stage for a 2.5 hours performance of the oldies and the new songs. During the entire show the crowd was up dancing and singing to all the songs bring back the memories of past concerts in ’90s. Without a doubt I’d go to this concert all over again! Nothing better then bring back your childhood memories.
