It seems that Amy Winehouse just can’t seem to catch a break. After just one week of celebration for her well deserved Grammy wins. It seems the mood has changed to tragedy as word has broke that her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil came close to death after a drugs overdose.According to published reports Blake - who’s currently locked up in London’s Pentonville prison on assault charges - was rushed to the jail’s hospital block when he collapsed in agony after taking what he believed to be heroin.
Guards reportedly found the 35-year-old writhing in agony whilst being violently sick in a cell. They instantly set off alarms and activated emergency procedures to save his life.
As shocking as the news has become many people are questioning how one overdoses from within a prison system. According to The Sun, Fielder-Civil exchanges the photos of his famous Grammy Award-winning wife for heroine inside his cell.
“Blake has to pay for his gear somehow - and he has no qualms about cashing in on his wife’s fame,” a source tells the tabloid.
“He’ll take orders from other inmates then ask Amy to bring in signed photos of herself during visits.”
“Once he’s back on the wing he’ll swap these for Joeys.”
Lets all hope she garners up the courage to end their rocky marriage so that she can clean herself up.
Most hip-hop heads are all but too familiar with the rumored beef between Vanilla Ice [Rob Van Winkle], and former Deathrow records head Suge Knight, you know the man behind Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and a host of others.
I’m being kind by alluding to a beef because rumor has it that the situation was much more dynamic. Word on the street is that Knight formed his own music-publishing company, and allegedly made his first big fortune in the business by coercing Vanilla Ice into signing over royalties from his smash hit “Ice Ice Baby” owing to material that he supposedly sampled from one of Knight’s company associates. (The possibly apocryphal story holds that Knight held Ice by his ankles off of a 20th-floor balcony, though in Ice’s version, the threat was more implied.)
Fast forward to 2008 and it seems that everyone has let by gones be by gones as Suge, Vanilla and Ja Rule were all photographed poppin bottles together recently at an event. I guess now that Suge has lost his mojo, and Ja –Rule is struggling to remain a top selling rapper, and since Vanilla is well you know…I guess there’s no point in holding any bad blood right?
It looks like Miami rapper, Flo Rida, is still doing big things with his monstrous hit “Low”.He has claimed yet another week on top of the charts according to billboard.com. Chris Brown, J Holiday, and Keyshia Cole are still doing their thing as they hold steady numbers this week despite heavy competition from Webbie, Timbaland, and Alicia Keys.

Miami rapper [Carol City] Flo Rida is trying to push away from his current smash single “Low” in attempt to continue chart domination. His second single “Elevator” with beatmaster Timbaland is a follow up single to his highly anticipated debut album “Mail On Sunday”. The video for “Elevator” has already been shot, and I have the exclusive sneak peek for you above.
Flo Rida has already garnered more accolades than most artists see in their entire career. Months before his Poe Boy/Atlantic Records debut, “MAIL ON SUNDAY,” is even released, his explosive first single, “Low,” has shot to the top of nearly every chart—Top 40 radio, Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and Hot RingMasters chart, Soundscan’s Digital Song chart, iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, MySpace, MTV’s TRL, BET’s 106 & Park. And this is only the beginning!
