WOW, CAN THIS CHICK CATCH A BREAK!!
March 19th, 2008 · by Gyant · No Comments
.story.jpg)
It seems that Amy Winehouse just can’t seem to catch a break. After just one week of celebration for her well deserved Grammy wins. It seems the mood has changed to tragedy as word has broke that her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil came close to death after a drugs overdose.
Guards reportedly found the 35-year-old writhing in agony whilst being violently sick in a cell. They instantly set off alarms and activated emergency procedures to save his life.
As shocking as the news has become many people are questioning how one overdoses from within a prison system. According to The Sun, Fielder-Civil exchanges the photos of his famous Grammy Award-winning wife for heroine inside his cell.
“Blake has to pay for his gear somehow - and he has no qualms about cashing in on his wife’s fame,” a source tells the tabloid.
“He’ll take orders from other inmates then ask Amy to bring in signed photos of herself during visits.”
“Once he’s back on the wing he’ll swap these for Joeys.”
Lets all hope she garners up the courage to end their rocky marriage so that she can clean herself up.

Winehouse Rewarded With Grammies
March 13th, 2008 · by Gyant · No Comments
Amy Winehouse racked up at this years 50th Annual Grammy Awards. The soulful singer with a Doo-Wop sound pulled in an impressive five Grammy wins for Record of the Year: “Rehab”, Song of the Year: “Rehab”, Best New Artist, as well as a few others. Her sophomore effort, Fade To Black, has received national and critical acclaim. But it seems that not all artists are in agreement of her accolades. In a recent interview former drug addict Natalie Cole spoke out about the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences rewarding the troubled star while her obvious addiction hangs in the balance. Here’s what she had to say:
“I’m going on record as an artist who is able to critique [Amy Winehouse]. I think she has a great talent, but I don’t agree with the Grammys giving her those nods. I think it sends the wrong message, that even in the midst of her stupor of drugs she can get nominated for all these awards. It’s a slap in the face to musicians and artists who work very hard that they turn around and give it to someone who really obviously doesn’t have a grasp of what she has. I’ve been in this business over 25 years and I sacrificed five years of my own life on drugs and almost lost my life because of it. So I take great offence to almost see someone getting glory out of being in the position that they’re in – she needs to get her life together and embrace her craft, she will lose it if she doesn’t get it together.”
I hate to sound harsh, but people who live in drug addict glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. The Grammy awards were never designed to award a person for what they do with their lives. It rewards people for their overall musical ability, and talent. While I do agree that Amy Winehouse is a certified mess. If anyone would just take a quick look back at the talent of the past, many of the worlds most celebrated artist have a history of drug abuse. And that includes weed. But as far as I can see the Grammy’s are not a religious organization. It’s about music. If it were in a church I could see her point. If it was about being a good girl then it would be drastically different. But this is not that. It’s about being a talented musician.
So while I can appreciate Natalie Cole’s intention. Unfortunately I’m going to have to disagree with her on this one.
File This One Under..Nicole Sit you’re a*s down somewhere please!

Good News for 50 Cent
March 13th, 2008 · by Gyant · No Comments
Well, it looks like some G-Unit members have finally received some good news as far as their personal lives are concerned. The leader of the crew, 50 Cent has suddenly found himself laughing all the way to the bank because a judge has ruled that his estranged baby mama, Shaniqua Tompkins, will NOT be receiving anymore money for their 10-year-old son Marquis. The New York Daily News is reporting that despite Tompkins request to obtain additional monies for child support a Suffolk County Family Court judge has ruled in favor of the bad boy of hip-hop. However, the biggest blow came when Shaniqua’s child support request was not only denied, but also decreased from $25,000 to $6,700 per month. And you know she wasn’t expecting that to happen.
All in all I hope this proves to be a life lesson to the baby mama’s of the world. You can’t all be like the “Baby Mother of the Millennium”, Kim Porter.

What’s the Next Pussycat Doll?
March 12th, 2008 · by Gyant · No Comments

Well look who’s eating it all the way back to her girl group? None other then Nicole Scherzinger. You all remember her right? She was the lead girl of the semi successful all girl group The Pussycat Dolls. After a few hit singles, and a multi-platinum album, it seems Nicole got it in her head that she could go at it alone. There was a big hoopla made over Nicole’s departure. The CW created a reality show ala American Idol auditioning a bunch of girls who were all vying to take her place. Following a string of flop singles, it appears Nicole Scherzinger is taking heed to calls for her to return to the Pussycat Dolls.
